Fat transfer surgery has grown dramatically in popularity in the last few years. You might have heard of it by its other popular names, fat grafting or fat injections. In many cases where fillers or traditional augmentation would be used, fat can actually be utilized instead. In cases where a traditional filler would be utilized to correct wrinkles, fat could be used instead. Essentially, fat is removed (using liposuction) from an area of the body where you have excess fat. It’s then, transferred to and injected into the area requiring a filler. This allows for both a decrease in excess fat and the filling of wrinkles. In addition to removing undesirable fat you also would not have to go through maintenance treatments due to absorption like with filler products. Fat transfers also offer a much more natural alternative to implants for augmenting parts of the body. This includes common areas like breasts and buttocks. The surgery itself takes a bit longer to perform but the outcome is permanent and natural.
